Avery Bridge Construction consists of replacing existing structure in 3 stages while maintaining traffic both on the I-5 Freeway and City Streets. This is a milestone project for Ortiz Enterprise, Inc. with it being the largest contract value in company history and allows us the opportunity to showcase our abilities with scheduling and executing a project of this magnitude with our team.

Widening of freeway / bridges with removal and reconstruction of sound walls and retaining walls on Route 405 freeway from Western Ave. to 182nd St. Undercrossing. Construction of new southbound Crenshaw on ramp. Work activities include concrete pavement, HMA, CIDH piles, electrical improvements and landscaping. This project also consists of accelerated ramp construction at the Crenshaw on and off ramps with both 55 hour and 30-day closures.

Widen and reconstruct the westbound and eastbound I-10 Alabama Street off ramps. Widening of Alabama Street in northbound and southbound directions to accommodate right turn pockets to I-10 on ramps.

The project consists of a regional stormwater infiltration project within a park. The works includes construction of 3 storm drain diversions with 4500 lf of 18” storm drain line that feeds a subsurface precast concrete infiltration structure holding 3.2 million gallons of water. Other work activities include roadway reconstruction, curb and sidewalk replacement, park improvements and landscaping.

The proposed work includes the roadway approach reconstruction to meet the proposed bridge structure elevation; street widening; construction of curb, curb/gutter, sidewalk, trail, retaining walls, median paving, driveway approaches, concrete slope protection, and 6-foot tall garden wall; asphalt pavement with aggregate base; bridge construction; crack sealing and slurry sealing of roadway within construction limits
